GR20 Project
My journey to becoming strong enough for one of the toughest trails in Europe — through strength, mobility, mindset and longevity.
How It Started
It began on an ordinary walk with my partner.
We were talking about life, goals, and the things we still want to experience together.
At one point she looked at me and said quietly:
“My dream is to do the GR20.”
I stopped for a moment, felt that spark inside, and answered exactly the way I felt:
“Ok. Let’s do it.”
No overthinking. No fear.
Just a decision — and the commitment behind it.
That moment became the starting point of the GR20 Project.
What Is GR20?
GR20 is known as the hardest long-distance trail in Europe.
It cuts through the spine of Corsica, mixing brutal beauty with raw, unforgiving terrain.
The route stretches for 180 km of steep ascents, technical rock sections, exposed ridges and constantly changing weather. One day it’s burning heat and sharp sun, the next it’s cold wind, storms and slippery granite.
Refuges are basic, comfort is minimal, and nothing comes easy out there.
This is not a holiday.
GR20 shows you who you are — physically, mentally and in character.
What You’ll Find Here
This space documents the full journey of preparing for GR20 — from the gym to the mountains.
You’ll see how my training phases evolve, how my mobility improves week by week, and how Scotland’s Munros become the main training ground for building real mountain strength.
I’ll be sharing the gear I use, the nutrition and recovery strategies that keep me performing well, and the mindset work that’s needed for long-distance, high-exposure mountain projects.
Everything leads toward one goal: a complete roadmap that takes me step by step to GR20.
